Seek and filter prospective new account inquiries and validate their eligibility for an aftermarket account.
Set up new accounts, including credit requests, B2B access, and inclusion on the dealer locator resource for each brand.
Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by establishing and organizing a work schedule to call on existing and/or potential sales outlets.
Focus sales efforts by analyzing current, and potential, sales volume of dealer accounts.
Keep management informed through activity and results reporting, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly, quarterly, and annual territory analyses.
Visit customers' premises routinely to grow relationships, obtain orders, or resolve customer problems.
Refer complaints of product or service failure to appropriate departments for investigation.
Report customers' operational needs with management and other departments as required to ensure the highest level of customer service.
Answer customers' technical questions regarding product or service and operation or maintenance.
Settle customer complaints, special orders, or returns.
Attract and develop customer accounts by answering product and service questions, suggesting information about other products and services.
Inform selling prices and sales programs for key accounts, by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
Receive and process orders, provide information concerning pricing, changes in service, discontinuance, and shipping.
Provide reporting on account portfolio (i.e., past sales, order status, etc.) from the ERP system routinely, and as necessary.
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
Provide input on product forecast trends for management and planning team.
Maintain the highest possible standard of work excellence and act as an example for other members of the aftermarket sales team.
Assist in the training/development of new and existing customers and internal sales staff.
Contribute to team effort by assisting other team members or departments with tasks as required by the company.
Attend trade shows, or customer events as needed by the company.
